2013 Shows

Late September Craft Event in New Milford, CT

I’m primarily doing one day shows this year. All are considered to be major events. Some are juried, while some are just for fun. So far, here’s my schedule:

1. April 27: Bethel Blooms Craft  04/27 2013
Municipal Center (front lawn)

2. New Show Alert! I will be at The Silo, Upland Road, New Milford, CT on May 4th and 5th, Just in time for Mother’s Day!

Hunt Hill Farm Trust
44 Upland Road
New Milford, CT 06776
(860) 354-2926

Gorgeous weekend and a terrific show!

3.  May 11: Market on the Green Arts & Crafts
Town Hall Green – Fairfield, CT

In spite of the rain it was a great show! Came with 14 bowls, and went home with only 6. First show where we had to put up the sides because of the rain.

4. May 18: Shoreline Spring Festival
Madison Town Green – Madison, CT

Pretty day. Met a lot of very nice folks Very low number of people attending, but I still sold six environments to happy new owners. I was literally across from two young Alpacas!

We had a corner space, so the set-up was a little different in appearance.

Met Rhonda, a Master Gardener who makes different kinds of bowls than mine, and is teaching a class on how to make Fairy Bowls. Her website is here: http://www.gardening-inspirations.com/index.html Her bowls are charming, as she is, too!

5. May 25: Wilton Rotary Craft Fair
Wilton Town Green – Wilton, CT

wiltonshow2,jogRain, high winds, and only six of us venders out of 29 expected showed up. Lovely organizers with tons of free coffee and doughnuts, but two tents literally blew over from the heavy winds. They asked me to come back next year and I will. Sold three bowls to three hardy souls! It would have been fabulous, except for the weather.

6. We added the Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market on Sunday because of the weather on Saturday. No rain, but wind gusts over 40 mph. Sold two more bowls, and received tons of compliments. We may return again this season because it’s so close to home base.

7. June 1 Teddy Bear Family Craft Festival
Town Green – New Milford, CT

Very hot, extremely humid, very small attendance.

8. June 2: Forthy-Ninth Arts and Crafts Fair
Huntington Green – Shelton, CT

Gorgeous day, great attendance, sold 6 bowls – AND – I won the First Place Prize for Crafts, which am with a certificate and a $75.00 check. I was thrilled and loved the location. Great show and very professionally organized. Lots of exhibitors and the things being sold were special and unusual.

9. June 8: Gallery on the Green
Litchfield Green – Litchfield, CT

Terrific show, in spite of how wet it was on the Green. Sold 8 bowls, and 4 more the next day. So far this year (since the last weekend in April) 54 bowls have found new homes!
